Introduction
ULN2003LV is a low-voltage, low-power upgrade to the ULN2003 series 7-channel Darlington composite transistor array. The ULN2003LV sink driver features 7 low-output-impedance drivers to support low-voltage relay and inductive coil applications. The low-impedance drivers significantly reduce on-chip power dissipation; for a typical 3V relay, power dissipation is reduced by up to 5×. The ULN2003LV drivers are pin-to-pin compatible with ULN2003 series devices in similar packages. ULN2003LV supports 3.3V to 5V CMOS logic input interfaces, making the device compatible with a wide range of microcontrollers and other logic interfaces. ULN2003LV features an improved input interface that significantly reduces the input DC current drawn from external drivers. ULN2003LV features an input RC buffer that greatly improves device performance under noisy operating conditions. ULN2003LV channel inputs feature an internal input pull-down resistor to enable tri-state input logic. ULN2003LV can also support other logic input levels such as TTL and 1.8V. ULN2003LV provides the flexibility to increase current sink capability by combining several adjacent channels in parallel. Under typical conditions, with all 7 channels in parallel, ULN2003LV can support load currents up to 1.0A. In addition, ULN2003LV can be used in various applications requiring sink current drivers, such as driving LEDs and logic level shifting.
