The LMZ12003EXT SIMPLE SWITCHER power module is an easy-to-use step-down DC/DC solution capable of delivering up to 3A of load current, with exceptional power conversion efficiency, line and load regulation, and output accuracy. Its innovative package design enhances thermal performance and supports both hand and machine soldering. Compatible with input voltages from 4.5V to 20V, it provides an adjustable high-accuracy output voltage as low as 0.8V. A complete power solution requires only 3 external resistors and 4 external capacitors. This reliable, robust design features the following protections: thermal shutdown, input undervoltage lockout, output overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, output current limiting, and support for pre-biased output startup. Switching frequency is adjustable up to 1MHz via a single resistor.
