Introduction
The UCC27201A-Q1 high-frequency N-channel MOSFET driver consists of a 120V bootstrap diode and high-side/low-side drivers with independent inputs for maximum control flexibility. This enables N-channel MOSFET control in half-bridge, full-bridge, two-switch forward, and active-clamp forward converters. The low-side and high-side gate drivers are independently controlled with turn-on and turn-off matching to within 1ns of each other. The HS pin of the UCC27201A-Q1 can withstand voltages down to -18V, improving performance in noisy power supply environments. An on-chip integrated bootstrap diode eliminates the need for an external discrete diode. UVLO is provided for both the high-side and low-side drivers, forcing the outputs low if the supply voltage falls below the specified threshold. The UCC27201A-Q1 features TTL-compatible thresholds and is available in an 8-pin SOIC package with a thermal pad.
