Introduction
The LPV801 (single-channel) and LPV802 (dual-channel) form an ultra-low power op amp family designed for sensing applications in battery-powered wireless and low-power wired devices. With a bandwidth of 8kHz and quiescent current of 320nA, LPV80x amplifiers minimize power consumption in devices where battery life is critical, such as CO detectors, smoke detectors, and PIR motion detectors. In addition to their ultra-low power characteristics, LPV80x amplifiers feature a CMOS input stage that achieves femtoampere bias currents. The LPV80x amplifiers also incorporate a negative-rail sensing input stage and a rail-to-rail output stage with only millivolts of swing from the supply rails, maximizing the available dynamic range. The LPV80x provides EMI protection to reduce the impact of unwanted RF signals from cell phones, WiFi, radio transmitters, and tag readers on system performance.
