Introduction
The LMK00306 is a 3GHz, 6-channel output differential fanout buffer used for high-frequency, low-jitter clock/data distribution and level conversion. It can select the input clock from two general-purpose inputs or one crystal oscillator input. The selected input clock is distributed to two output groups, with each group containing 3 differential outputs and 1 LVCMOS output. The two differential output groups can be independently configured as LVPECL, LVDS, or HCSL drivers, or disabled. The LVCMOS output has a synchronous enable input for glitch-free operation when enabled or disabled. The LMK00306 operates with a 3.3V core power supply and 3 independent 3.3V/2.5V output power supplies. The LMK00306 features high performance, versatility, and power efficiency, making it an ideal choice to replace fixed-output buffer devices while increasing the timing margin in the system.
