The TPS6216x series is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC-DC converter optimized for high power density applications. Devices in this series feature a typical switching frequency of up to 2.25MHz, allowing the use of small inductors, and leverage DCS-Control™ topology to deliver fast transient response with high output voltage accuracy. The wide operating voltage range of 3V to 17V makes these devices well-suited for systems powered by lithium-ion or other batteries, as well as 12V intermediate power rails. The output voltage ranges from 0.9V to 6V, supporting continuous output current of up to 1A (using 100% duty cycle mode). Power sequencing can be implemented by configuring the enable pin and the open-drain power-good pin. In power save mode, the device draws approximately 17μA of quiescent current from the input voltage (VIN). The device automatically and seamlessly enters power save mode at light loads, maintaining high efficiency across the entire load range. In shutdown mode, the device is disabled with a supply current of less than 2μA. Available in both adjustable and fixed output voltage versions, the device is offered in a 2.00mm×2.00mm 8-pin WSON package (DSG) or a 3.00mm×3.00mm VSSOP package (DGK).
