The single-channel OPA1677, dual-channel OPA1678, and quad-channel OPA1679 (OPA167x) operational amplifiers offer higher system-level performance compared to traditional operational amplifiers commonly used in audio circuits. The OPA167x amplifiers achieve a low noise density of 4.5nV/√Hz and a low distortion of 0.0001% at 1kHz, thereby improving audio signal fidelity. These devices also provide a rail-to-rail output swing within 800mV across a 2kΩ load, increasing headroom and maximizing the dynamic range. To accommodate the power supply limitations of various types of audio products, the OPA167x operates with a supply current of only 2mA over a very wide supply voltage range of ±2.25V to ±18V (or 4.5V to 36V). These operational amplifiers are unity-gain stable and exhibit excellent dynamic behavior under various load conditions. Therefore, the OPA167x can be used in many audio circuits. The OPA167x amplifiers use fully independent internal circuitry to minimize crosstalk and are immune to inter-channel interactions even during overdrive or overload conditions.
