The TLV757P low-dropout regulator (LDO) is an ultra-small, low quiescent current LDO capable of sourcing 1A with excellent line and load transient performance. The TLV757P is optimized to support an input voltage range of 1.45V to 5.5V for use in a wide variety of applications. To minimize cost and solution size, the device is offered in fixed output voltages ranging from 0.6V to 5V, supporting the lower core voltages of modern MCUs. In addition, the TLV757P features low IQ with an enable function to minimize standby power consumption. The device incorporates an internal soft-start function designed to reduce inrush current, which provides a controlled voltage ramp to the load and minimizes input voltage droop during startup. During shutdown, the device actively pulls down the output to quickly discharge the output and ensure a known startup state. The TLV757P remains stable when used with small ceramic output capacitors that support a compact overall solution size. A high-accuracy bandgap and error amplifier enable typical accuracy of 1%. All device versions integrate thermal shutdown protection, current limiting, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). The TLV757P includes an internal overcurrent protection limit to help reduce thermal dissipation during short-circuit events.
