Introduction
The SN74LV165A is an 8-bit parallel-load shift register designed for 2V to 5.5V VCC operation. When clocked, data is transferred through the serial output QH. When the shift/load (SH/LD) input is low, eight individual direct data inputs are supported, enabling parallel input at each stage. The LV165A features clock inhibit functionality and a complementary serial output QH. This device is designed for partial power-down applications using Ioff. The Ioff circuit disables the outputs to prevent damaging reverse current flow when the device is powered down.
