Introduction
The LM604x0 voltage regulator is a user-friendly synchronous step-down DC/DC converter that offers industry-leading efficiency and is suitable for demanding industrial applications. The LM60430 can drive a load current of up to 3A, while the LM60440 is an ultra-small 4A step-down converter in the industry. The LM604x0 uses an ultra-small WQFN package with wettable flanks and a standard QFN pin layout with a thermal pad to enhance thermal performance. This enhanced QFN package has extremely low parasitic inductance and resistance, enabling very high efficiency while minimizing switching node ringing and significantly reducing EMI. The LM604x0 employs peak current mode control and can automatically fold back the frequency at light loads to ensure excellent efficiency across the entire load range. With the optimized thermal performance of the QFN package, the lower power dissipation allows for a high-power-density solution in a smaller size. Additionally, this device requires very few external components and has a pin arrangement that simplifies PCB layout. The small solution size and feature set of the LM604x0 are designed to simplify the implementation of various end devices. This device also has a version compliant with the AEC - Q100 standard.
