The TLV755P is an ultra-small, low quiescent current, low-dropout (LDO) regulator capable of sourcing 500mA with excellent line and load transient performance. It supports an input voltage range of 1.45V to 5.5V, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Fixed output voltages from 0.6V to 5V are available to support the lower core voltages of modern MCUs. The low IQ with enable function minimizes standby power consumption. An internal soft-start feature is designed to reduce inrush current, providing a controlled voltage ramp to the load while minimizing input voltage droop during startup. During shutdown, the output is actively discharged to quickly release the output and ensure a known startup state. Stability is maintained when used with small ceramic output capacitors, supporting a compact overall solution footprint. A high-accuracy bandgap and error amplifier deliver a typical accuracy of 1%. All device versions integrate thermal shutdown protection, current limiting, and UVLO. Internal foldback current limiting helps reduce thermal dissipation during short-circuit conditions.
