Terminal pad material is tin-plated nickel copper; terminal pad solderability complies with EIA specification RS 186 - 9E and ANSI/J - STD - 002 Category 3. Marking: JZ = 1210(005). Operating temperature range: -40°C to 85°C. Packaging: bulk, 4000 pieces per bag. Recommended reflow soldering methods: infrared, vapor phase, hot air; lead-free soldering requires nitrogen atmosphere. Recommended maximum solder paste thickness: 0.25mm (0.010 in). The device can be cleaned using standard industrial methods and solvents; solder temperature profile complies with RoHS lead-free process. Operating PPTC devices beyond maximum ratings or improper use may result in device damage, electrical arcing, and fire. PPTC devices are intended for protection against occasional overcurrent or over-temperature fault events and are not suitable for applications where repeated fault conditions or prolonged trip events are expected.
