HL(Haolin Elec) HL6236

HL6236 is a high-precision offline switching power supply IC designed for low-power AC/DC chargers and adapters. It employs primary-side sensing for accurate CC/CV control, eliminating the optocoupler and TL431 typically required in conventional designs.

In CC mode, the output power is set by the sense resistor Rs connected to the CS pin. In CV mode, multiple operating modes ensure high overall conversion efficiency. Additionally, the built-in cable drop compensation provides excellent load regulation. HL6236 operates in PFM mode under CC and PWM mode under CV, with frequency reduction at light load.

HL6236 features a power-on soft-start function and various auto-recoverable protection mechanisms, including cycle-by-cycle OCP, VDD OVP, VDD overvoltage clamping, UVLO, and over-temperature protection. The integrated frequency dithering function delivers enhanced EMI performance.
