Introduction
This 6-bit non-inverting translator uses two separate configurable power-supply rails. Port A is designed to track VCCA, which supports any supply voltage ranging from 1.2V to 3.6V. Port B is designed to track VCCB, which supports any supply voltage ranging from 1.65V to 5.5V. This allows the device to perform general-purpose low-voltage bidirectional translation between any combination of 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V voltage nodes. VCCA must not exceed VCCB. When the output enable (OE) input is low, all outputs are placed in a high-impedance state. The TXB0106-Q1 device is designed with the OE input circuit powered by VCCA. The device is fully suitable for partial power-down applications using Ioff. The Ioff circuit disables the outputs to prevent damaging backflow current when the device is powered down. To ensure a high-impedance state during power-up or power-down, OE should be connected to ground through a pull-down resistor; the minimum value of this resistor depends on the current-sourcing capability of the driver.
