Introduction
The ADS79xx-Q1 device series consists of multi-channel 8-bit, 10-bit, and 12-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). This device includes a capacitor-based successive approximation register (SAR) ADC, which supports inherent sample-and-hold. The multiple features and excellent performance make the ADS79xx-Q1 devices suitable for a wide range of applications that require monitoring multiple channels.

- Qualified for automotive applications with the following AEC-Q100 test results:
- Device temperature grade 1: ambient operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C
- Device HBM ESD classification level H2
- Device CDM ESD classification level C4B
- 8-bit, 10-bit, and 12-bit resolution
- 4-channel, 8-channel, and 12-channel devices share the same package footprint as 16-channel devices
- 1MHz sample rate serial device
- Analog supply range: 2.7V to 5.25V
- I/O supply range: 1.7V to 5.25V
- Two software-selectable unipolar input ranges: (0V to 2.5V) or (0V to 5V)
- Auto and manual modes for channel selection
- Two programmable alarm levels per channel
- Four independently configurable GPIO interfaces
- Typical power dissipation: 14.5mW at 1MSPS (V(+VA) = 5V, (+VBD) = 3V)
- Power-down current (1μA)
- 30-pin and 38-pin TSSOP packages
- ADS79xx-Q1 devices operate over a wide analog supply range of 2.7V to 5.25V. Due to ultra-low power consumption, these devices are well suited for battery-powered and isolated supply applications
- 4-channel and 8-channel devices come in a 30-pin TSSOP package. 12-channel and 16-channel devices come in a 38-pin TSSOP package
