Introduction
The ADS7054 device belongs to a series of pin-to-pin compatible, high-speed, low-power, single-channel successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). This device is a 14-bit, 1 MSPS SAR ADC that supports fully differential inputs within the range of ±AVDD, where AVDD ranges from 1.65V to 3.6V. The internal offset voltage calibration function maintains excellent offset voltage specifications across the entire AVDD and operating temperature ranges. The device supports an SPI-compatible serial interface controlled by the CS and SCLK signals. The input signal is sampled on the falling edge of CS, while SCLK is used for conversion and serial data output. The device supports a wide digital power supply range (1.65V to 3.6V) and can be directly connected to various host controllers. The nominal DVDD range (1.65V to 1.95V) of the ADS7054 complies with the JESD8-7A standard. The ADS7054 comes in an 8-pin small X2QFN package and can operate normally over a wide industrial temperature range (-40°C to +125°C). With its small size and extremely low power consumption, this device is well-suited for space-constrained, battery-powered applications that require high-speed, high-resolution data acquisition.
