MC74VHC1G125/MC74VHC1GT125 is a single non-inverting buffer with 3-state output in a micro package. The MC74VHC1G125 features CMOS-level input thresholds, while the MC74VHC1GT125 features TTL-level input thresholds. The internal circuit consists of three stages, including a buffered 3-state output stage, providing high noise immunity and stable outputs. The input structure provides protection when voltages up to 5.5V are applied, regardless of supply voltage, making the device suitable for interfacing between 5V and 3V circuits. Part of the output structure also provides protection when VCC = 0V and when the output voltage exceeds VCC. These input and output structures help prevent device damage due to supply voltage and input/output voltage mismatches, battery backup, hot-swapping, and similar conditions.
