The LM39100/1/2 is a 1A low-dropout linear regulator providing low-voltage, high-current output. This series features an ultralow dropout voltage (410mV typical at 1A load) and low ground current (12mA typical at 1A load). The LM39100 is a fixed-output voltage regulator in a SOT-223 package; the LM39101 and LM39102 are fixed- and adjustable-output voltage regulators in SOP-8 and TO-252 packages, respectively. This series is ideal for applications requiring conversion from 5V to 3.3V, 3.3V to 2.5V, or 2.5V to 1.8V. The guaranteed maximum dropout voltage of 630mV across all operating conditions enables the LM39100/1/2 to provide a 2.5V output with input voltages as low as 3.13V and a 1.8V output with input voltages as low as 2.43V. The LM39100/1/2 offers comprehensive protection features including current limiting, thermal shutdown, and reverse battery protection.
