Introduction
The SN74LS374 is an 8-bit positive-edge-triggered D-type flip-flop with 3-state outputs. The device features a clock (CP) and output enable (OE) input. The flip-flops store the state of individual D inputs that meet the setup and hold time requirements. A high level on OE forces the outputs into a high-impedance state. Changes on the OE input do not affect the state of the flip-flops. Input clamp diodes are included, allowing input interfaces to voltages exceeding VCC using current-limiting resistors.
