Introduction
The CA3140 series are BiMOS high-input-impedance op-amps that integrate PMOS transistors and bipolar transistors on a single die, combining the advantages of high-voltage PMOS and high-voltage bipolar transistors. The PMOS differential input pair provides extremely high input impedance, ultra-low input current, and high-speed characteristics. Due to the use of PMOS transistors, the CA3140 offers a wide common-mode input voltage range. Another key feature of the CA3140 is its suitability for single-supply applications. The pin configuration is compatible with the 741 series, allowing direct drop-in replacement of the 741 in most industrial applications.
This series is widely used in consumer, commercial, and industrial applications, including accelerometer signal conditioning, integrators, medical monitors, visible-light photometers, single-supply amplifiers, sample-and-hold amplifiers, photocurrent instrumentation, active filters, interface circuits, handheld instruments, alarm systems, peak detectors, comparators, integrators, multi-frequency oscillators, function generators, and all other standard amplifier applications.
