Introduction
The LM555 is a bipolar IC capable of generating high-precision timing pulses. It consists of four internal circuit blocks: a threshold comparator, a trigger comparator, an RS flip-flop, and an output stage. With only a few external resistors and capacitors, it can be configured as a monostable trigger circuit, PWM circuit, audio oscillator, and more.
