Introduction
HT9170 is a complete DTMF receiver circuit featuring band-split filtering and digital decoding. The filter section employs switched-capacitor technology to separate dial tone signals into high-group and low-group signals. Digital counting techniques are used in the decoder to detect all 16 DTMF tone pairs and encode them into 4-bit codes. A differential input amplifier, clock oscillator, and tri-state latched bus interface are integrated on-chip, minimizing the number of external components. This circuit is a mixed-signal CMOS design, implemented with 1.2μm double-layer polysilicon single-layer aluminum design rules, with a die area (excluding scribe lines) of 2.966×1.697mm².
