HTD8831T provides an integrated motor drive solution for printers, scanners, and other mechatronic applications. The HTD8831T features two H-bridge drivers with a maximum drive output of 36V ±1.5A, capable of driving two brushed DC motors or one bipolar stepper motor. The bipolar stepper motor can operate in full-step, 2-microstep, and 4-microstep modes, or achieve higher microstepping through software implementation. The power output stage of each H-bridge in the HTD8831T consists of N-type power MOSFETs, referred to as the H-bridge driver. Each bridge incorporates rectification and current limiting circuitry. The device uses an industry-standard parallel digital control interface with programmable decay modes. Internal shutdown functions include overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, undervoltage lockout, and overtemperature protection, with a dedicated fault detection output pin. The HTD8831T is offered in an ETSSOP28 package with an exposed pad for enhanced thermal dissipation. It is a lead-free product compliant with environmental requirements.
