HXY MOSFET MAX1487ESA-HXY

MAX1487ESA is a low-power RS-485 and RS-422 transceiver designed for harsh environments. Each driver output and receiver input is protected against ±15kV ESD without latch-up. The device contains one driver and one receiver. The MAX1487ESA features a reduced slew-rate driver that minimizes EMI and reduces signal reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, enabling error-free data transmission at up to 2.5Mbps. Supply current drops as low as 120μA when unloaded or when the driver is disabled. All devices operate from a single +5V supply. The driver includes short-circuit current limiting and is protected by a thermal shutdown circuit that places the driver outputs in a high-impedance state to prevent excessive power dissipation. The receiver inputs feature a failsafe function that guarantees a logic-high output when the inputs are open. The MAX1487ESA offers one-quarter unit load receiver input impedance, allowing up to 128 transceivers on the bus. The device is designed for half-duplex applications.
