Introduction
The TP8756 is a step-down LED constant-current driver operating in fixed off-time control mode, designed for efficient driving of multiple LEDs. It adopts an average-current closed-loop constant-current architecture, making the output current insensitive to inductance variations in system applications, which greatly improves output current regulation accuracy. It is especially suited for non-isolated step-down LED constant-current driver circuits with an input voltage range of 5~100V.
With an external power transistor, the average LED output current can be set via an external resistor. High/low brightness mode switching is achieved by applying high or low logic levels to the MODE pin. When the MODE pin is driven high, the LED output operates at 100% high-brightness mode; when driven low, the LED output operates at 75% low-brightness mode. High/low brightness mode switching requires minimal external components, reducing system cost and board space.
