Introduction
The OPAx277 series precision op amps are drop-in replacements for the industry-standard OP-177. These devices offer lower noise, wider output voltage swing, twice the speed, and half the quiescent current. Key features include ultra-low offset voltage and drift, low bias current, high CMRR, and high PSRR. The OPAx277 operates from ±2V to ±18V supply voltages with excellent performance. Unlike most op amps specified at only a single supply voltage, the OPAx277 series is characterized for real-world applications, with a single set of specification limits covering supply voltages from ±5V to ±15V. High performance is maintained up to the specified output swing limits. Due to the extremely low initial offset voltage, user trimming is typically unnecessary. However, the single-channel version provides external offset null pins for special applications. The OPAx277 is easy to use, free from the phase reversal and overload problems found in some other op amps. These devices are unity-gain stable and deliver excellent dynamic performance under a wide range of load conditions. The dual and quad versions feature fully independent circuitry for minimum crosstalk, preventing channel-to-channel interaction even during overdrive or overload conditions.
