Introduction
The UTC U74HC595A contains an 8-bit register with asynchronous reset input and an 8-bit latch with outputs. Serial data input (SER) is shifted into the internal shift register on each low-to-high transition of the shift clock. The latch captures 8-bit data from the shift register on the low-to-high transition of the latch clock. A serial output is also provided from the shift register.
