Introduction
The TPS659119-Q1 is an integrated power management IC designed for systems where the hosted application processor requires multiple power rails. The device provides three buck converters, an interface for controlling an external converter, and eight LDOs, offering flexibility to support various processors and applications. Two of the buck converters supply power to dual processor cores and support dynamic voltage scaling via a dedicated I2C interface for optimal power savings. The third converter supplies I/O and memory in the system. The external converter control enables voltage sequencing and regulation of the external converter for high-current rails in the system. The device also includes eight general-purpose LDOs with a wide range of voltage and current capabilities. Five of the LDOs support 1 to 3.3V in 100mV steps, while the other three support 1 to 3.3V in 50mV steps. All LDOs are fully controllable via the I2C interface. In addition to the power regulators, the device contains nine configurable GPIOs with multiplexing capability to support a broad range of functions. An embedded power controller is also included to manage the system's power-up sequencing requirements. Power sequencing is configured via EEPROM.

- Nine configurable GPIO interfaces with multiplexing support:
- 4 of which can be enabled for external resources, included in the power-up sequence and controlled by the state machine
- As GPIs, GPIOs support logic level detection and can generate maskable interrupts for wakeup
- 2 of which feature 10mA current sink capability for driving LEDs
- DCDC switching synchronization via an external 3MHz clock
- Two reset inputs for cold reset (HDRST) and one power-down reset (PWRDN) for warm reset input
- 32kHz clock output (CLK32KOUT) and system reset (NRESPWRON) included in the power sequence
- Watchdog
- Two switching status LED pulse generators and one PWM generator
