Introduction
CC1201 is a fully integrated single-chip RF transceiver designed for high performance with ultra-low power consumption and low-voltage operation in cost-effective wireless systems. All filters are integrated, eliminating the need for expensive external SAW and IF filters. The device is primarily intended for ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) and SRD (Short Range Device) frequency bands at 164–190MHz, 410–475MHz, and 820–950MHz.
The CC1201 provides extensive hardware support for packet handling, data buffering, burst transmissions, clear channel assessment, link quality indication, and wireless wake-on-radio. The main operating parameters of the CC1201 are configurable via the SPI interface. In a typical system, the CC1201 will be used together with a microcontroller and a minimal number of external passive components.
For channel filter bandwidths of 50kHz or above, the CC1201 offers the same performance as the CC1200, providing a lower-cost alternative for applications that do not require narrowband support.
