TI TS3USBA225RUTR

The TS3USBA225 is a dual-channel single-pole triple-throw (SP3T) multiplexer supporting USB 2.0 high-speed (480Mbps) signals across all 3 differential channels. The first two high-speed differential channels also support Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) signal transmission at resolutions/video frame rates up to 720p/60fps and 1080i/30fps. The third differential channel can additionally function as an audio switch, allowing analog audio signals to swing into the negative region. This configuration enables system designers to use a single connector for both audio data and USB 2.0/MHL data.

The TS3USBA225 operates over a VCC range of 2.7V to 5.0V, capable of transmitting true ground-referenced audio signals as low as -1.8V. The device also supports a power-saving mode, which can be enabled when the SEL1 and SEL2 control inputs are low, minimizing current consumption when no signal is being transmitted. In addition, the TS3USBA225 incorporates internal shunt resistors on the audio path to reduce clicks and pops that may be heard when selecting the audio switch.
