Introduction
The DRV3205-Q1 bridge driver is specifically designed for automotive three-phase brushless DC motor control applications. This device provides six dedicated drivers for standard-level N-channel MOSFET transistors. An integrated FET boost converter can provide an overdrive voltage, enabling full control of the power stage even at battery voltages as low as 4.75V. This driver strength is suitable for high-current applications and can be programmed to limit the peak output current. The device integrates robust FET protection and system monitoring functions, such as a Q&A watchdog and voltage monitors for I/O power and ADC reference voltages. The integrated internal diagnostic functions can be accessed and programmed via the SPI interface.
