Introduction
The ADM1184 is an integrated 4-channel voltage monitoring device. Its supply pin is the VCC pin, with a supply voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V. Four precision comparators monitor four voltage rails. Each comparator has a 0.6 V reference voltage with a worst-case accuracy of 0.8%. External resistor networks on the VIN1, VIN2, VIN3, and VIN4 pins set the trip points for the monitored supply rails. The ADM1184 has four open-drain outputs. OUT1 through OUT3 are used for power enable, while PWRGD is a general power-good output. OUT1 through OUT3 depend on their associated VINx inputs (i.e., VIN1, VIN2, or VIN3). If any supply monitored by VINx falls below the set threshold, the associated OUTx pin and PWRGD are deasserted. PWRGD is a general power-good output that indicates the status of all monitored supplies. The PWRGD output is asserted after an internal delay of 190 ms (typical). If VIN1, VIN2, VIN3, or VIN4 falls below the set threshold, PWRGD is immediately deasserted. The ADM1184 is available in a 10-lead MSOP package.
