Introduction
The AD5160 is a 2.9 mm × 3 mm compact packaging solution for 256-position adjustment applications, providing the same electronic adjustment functionality as mechanical potentiometers or variable resistors, with enhanced resolution, solid-state reliability, and excellent low temperature coefficient performance. The wiper position is controlled via an SPI-compatible digital interface. The resistance between the wiper and either end terminal of the fixed resistor varies linearly with the digital code loaded into the RDAC latch. The device operates from a 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply with power consumption below 5 μA, making it suitable for battery-powered portable applications.
