Introduction
LMR23625-Q1 SIMPLE SWITCHER is an easy-to-use 36V, 2.5A synchronous step-down regulator. The device features a wide 4V to 36V input range, suitable for voltage regulation of unregulated power supplies in applications ranging from industrial to automotive. Peak current mode control is employed for simple control loop compensation and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. With a quiescent current as low as 75μA, the device is well-suited for battery-powered systems. Internal loop compensation eliminates the tedious task of designing loop compensation components, while also minimizing the external component count. The device also offers a fixed-frequency forced PWM (FPWM) mode option to achieve low output voltage ripple at light loads. The extended product family provides 1A, 1.5A, and 3A load current options in pin-to-pin compatible packages, enabling simple and optimized PCB layout. A precision enable input simplifies regulator control and system power sequencing. Protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limiting, hiccup mode short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown triggered by excessive power dissipation.
