Introduction
The LMR64010 switching regulator is a current-mode boost converter operating at a fixed frequency of 1.6 MHz. The industry-leading power density is achieved through SOT-23 packaging (enabled by an internal 1 A switch and the use of small inductors and capacitors), along with low-power-loss components. The 40 V internal switch makes these solutions ideal for boost applications up to 16 V or higher. The device features a logic-level shutdown pin that can be used to reduce quiescent current and extend battery life. Protection is provided via cycle-by-cycle current limiting and a thermal shutdown circuit. Internal compensation simplifies design and reduces component count.
