Introduction
The TPS6107x devices provide a power supply solution for products powered by one, two, or three alkaline, NiCd, or NiMH cells, or by a single-cell Li-Ion or Li-polymer battery. When operating from a single alkaline cell, the output current can be varied up to 75mA while discharging the battery down to as low as 0.9V. It can also be used to generate a 5V/200mA output from a 3.3V rail or a single-cell Li-Ion battery. The boost converter is based on a fixed-frequency, PWM controller with synchronous rectification, designed for maximum efficiency. Under light load conditions, the TPS61070 and TPS61073 enter power-save mode to maintain high efficiency over a wide load current range. In the TPS61071 and TPS61072, power-save mode is disabled, forcing the converter to operate at a fixed switching frequency. The maximum peak current in the boost switch is typically limited to 600mA.

Introduction
