Introduction
The LMR23625 SIMPLE SWITCHER is an easy-to-use 36V, 2.5A synchronous buck regulator. The device features a wide 4V–36V input voltage range, making it suitable for a variety of industrial applications requiring power regulation from unregulated sources. Peak current mode control is employed for simplified control loop compensation and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. With a quiescent current of 75μA, the device is well suited for battery-powered systems. The ultra-low shutdown current further extends battery life. Internal loop compensation eliminates the tedious task of designing loop compensation components, while also minimizing the external component count. An optional fixed-frequency FPWM mode is available to achieve low output voltage ripple under light-load conditions. The HSOIC extended product family offers 1A (LMR23610) and 3A (LMR23630) load current options in pin-to-pin compatible packages, enabling simple and optimized PCB layout. A precision enable input simplifies regulator control and system power sequencing. Protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limiting, hiccup mode short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown triggered by excessive power dissipation.
