Introduction
Using the pin-selected voltage rail state feature enables specific power states. This feature allows up to 3 GPIs to enable and disable any voltage rail. This is useful for implementing system low-power modes and for Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) specifications for hardware devices.
The UCD90120A is a 12-rail PMBus/I²C addressable power sequencer and monitor. The device integrates a 12-bit ADC capable of monitoring up to 12 power voltage inputs. 26 GPIO pins can be used for power enable, power-on reset signals, external interrupts, cascading, or other system functions. 12 of these pins provide PWM capability. With these pins, the UCD90120A supports margining as well as general-purpose PWM functions.
The Fusion Digital Power™ Designer software is used for device configuration. This PC-based GUI provides an intuitive interface for configuring, storing, and monitoring all system operating parameters.
