The TPS3850 combines a precision monitor with a programmable windowed watchdog timer. The TPS3850 window comparator achieves 0.8% accuracy on the SENSE pin for both overvoltage (VIT+(OV)) and undervoltage (VIT-(UV)) thresholds (–40°C to +125°C). In addition, the TPS3850 applies precise hysteresis to both thresholds, making it well-suited for systems with tight tolerance requirements. The monitor's RESET delay can be set via a factory-programmed default delay or programmed externally using a capacitor. The factory-programmed RESET delay offers 9.5% accuracy with a high-precision delay time.

The TPS3850 features a programmable windowed watchdog timer suitable for a wide range of applications. A dedicated watchdog output (WDO) improves resolution to help identify the root cause of fault conditions. The windowed watchdog timeout can be set via a factory-programmed default delay or programmed externally using a capacitor. The watchdog can be disabled via a logic pin to prevent unintended watchdog timeouts during development.

The TPS3850 is available in a compact 3.00mm × 3.00mm 10-pin VSON package.
