JSMSEMI MAX1487ESA+T-JSM

The MAX1487ESA for RS-485/RS-422 communication is a high-speed half-duplex transceiver containing one driver and one receiver. It features ±15kV human body model ESD protection and a failsafe circuit that ensures a logic-high output at the receiver when the receiver input is open or shorted. If all drivers connected to a terminated bus are disabled (high impedance), the receiver will output a logic high. The MAX1487ESA incorporates a slew-rate-limited driver to reduce EMI and reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, enabling error-free data transmission at up to 2Mbps. In addition, the MAX1487ESA receiver features 1/8 unit load input impedance, allowing up to 256 transceivers to be connected on a single bus, and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
