Beschreibung
The TPS54618 is a fully featured 6V, 6A synchronous step-down current-mode converter with two integrated MOSFETs. The TPS54618 integrates MOSFETs to minimize external component count, enables switching frequencies up to 2MHz to reduce inductor size, and uses a compact 3mm×3mm thermally enhanced WQFN package to minimize IC footprint, enabling small-form-factor designs. The TPS54618 provides accurate regulation with a ±1% precision voltage reference (VREF) across various loads over the operating temperature range. Efficiency is maximized through integrated 12mΩ MOSFETs and a quiescent current of 515μA (typical). Shutdown current is reduced to 5.5μA by entering shutdown mode via the enable pin. The undervoltage lockout is internally set at 2.6V, but the threshold can be programmed via a resistor network on the enable pin to increase this voltage. The output voltage startup ramp is controlled by the soft-start pin. An open-drain power-good signal indicates that the output is within 93% to 107% of its nominal voltage. Frequency foldback and thermal shutdown protect the device under overcurrent conditions.
