The TLE206x series low-power JFET-input op amps double the bandwidth of the earlier TL06x and TL03x BiFET families without significantly increasing power consumption. Because BiFET op amps are designed for dual-supply operation, care must be taken to observe common-mode input voltage limits and output swing when operating from a single supply. The input signal must be DC-biased, and the load should be terminated to a virtual ground node at the midpoint of the supply. When operating a BiFET amplifier from a single supply, Texas Instruments' TLE2426 integrated virtual ground generator is extremely useful.
