Introduction
The THS7530 device is fabricated using an advanced BiCom IIISiGe complementary bipolar process. It is a DC-coupled high-bandwidth amplifier with voltage-controlled gain. This amplifier features high-impedance differential inputs and low-impedance differential outputs, offering high-bandwidth gain control, output common-mode control, and output voltage clamping functions. It delivers excellent signal channel performance at a bandwidth of 300 MHz, while at a bandwidth of 32 MHz with a 1 VPP output into 400 Ω, it exhibits a third harmonic distortion of –61 dBc. The gain control (in dB) varies linearly. Within the voltage range of 0 V to 0.9 V, the gain changes from 11.6 dB to 46.5 dB with a slope of 38.8 dB/V. The output voltage limiting function is used to limit the output voltage swing and prevent saturation in subsequent stages. This device is rated to operate over the industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
