Introduction
The TLVx172 series 36V single-supply, low-noise, EMI-resistant op amps offer 0.0002% THD+N at 1kHz and operate over a supply voltage range of 4.5V (±2.25V) to 36V (±18V). These characteristics, combined with low noise and high PSRR, enable the TLVx172 to amplify millivolt-level signals in applications such as automotive and powertrain systems and medical instrumentation. The TLVx172 devices feature excellent offset voltage and temperature drift, 10MHz bandwidth, 10V/μs slew rate, and a maximum quiescent current of only 2.3mA over the operating temperature range.
While most op amps are rated for a single supply voltage, the TLVx172 devices are rated for a supply voltage range of 4.5V to 36V. Input signals exceeding the supply rails do not cause phase reversal. The TLVx172 devices remain stable with capacitive loads up to 300pF. The inputs operate correctly up to 100mV below the negative supply rail and within 2V of the positive supply rail. These devices support a full rail-to-rail input range extending 100mV beyond the positive supply rail; however, performance is degraded when operating within 2V of the positive supply rail.
The TLVx172 op amps are rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
