Introduction
Devices in the TLV246x-Q1 low-power rail-to-rail input/output op amp family are designed for battery management systems in HEV/EV and powertrain applications, as well as lighting and sunroof module systems in body and lighting applications. The input common-mode voltage range of these devices extends beyond the supply rails, enabling maximum dynamic range in low-voltage systems. The amplifier outputs feature rail-to-rail performance and high output drive capability, overcoming the limitations of legacy rail-to-rail input/output op amps. This rail-to-rail dynamic range and high output drive capability make the TLV246x-Q1 well suited for buffering ADCs.

- Qualified for automotive applications with the following characteristics per AEC-Q100:
- Device temperature grade 1: ambient operating temperature range of -40 °C to +125 °C
- Device HBM ESD classification level 2
- Device CDM ESD classification level C6
- ESD protection exceeding 2000 V (per MIL-STD-883 Method 3015); exceeding 200 V (using machine model, C = 200 pF, R = 0)
- Rail-to-rail output swing slew rate: 1.6 V/μs
- This op amp offers 6.4 MHz bandwidth and 1.6 V/μs slew rate with only 500 μA supply current, delivering strong AC performance at very low power consumption.
- The device features an optional shutdown pin that places the amplifier into an ultra-low supply current mode (IDD = 0.3 μA per channel). When shut down, the op amp output is placed in a high-impedance state.
- Carefully designed for DC applications, featuring input noise voltage of 11 nV/√Hz and input offset voltage of 100 μV.
