Introduction
The INA250 is a series of voltage-output, current-sensing amplifiers that integrate an internal shunt resistor. It can achieve high-precision current measurement over a common-mode voltage range of 0V to 36V, independent of the supply voltage. This device is a bidirectional, low-side/high-side shunt monitor that can use an external reference to measure the bidirectional current flowing into the internal current-sensing resistor sensor. The integrated precision current-sensing resistor enables the device to achieve calibration-level measurement accuracy and ultra-low temperature drift, and ensures that the Kelvin layout optimized for the sensing resistor can always be implemented. The INA250 series offers four levels of output voltage: 200mV/A, 500mV/A, 800mV/A, and 2V/A. This device has been fully tested and can provide a continuous current of up to 10A at a maximum temperature of 125°C. The INA250 is powered by a single supply voltage of 2.7V to 36V, with a maximum supply current of 300μA. All gain versions of the INA250 are rated for operation within the extended operating temperature range (-40°C to +125°C) and are available in a Thin Shrink Small Outline Package (TSSOP)-16.
