Introduction
TI MSP series ultra-low power microcontrollers come in a wide variety, with each member device equipped with different peripheral sets to meet the needs of various applications. This architecture, used in conjunction with multiple low-power modes, is optimized to extend battery life in portable measurement applications. The microcontroller features a powerful 16-bit RISC CPU, 16-bit registers, and a constant generator that helps achieve maximum coding efficiency. This digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) enables the microcontroller to wake up from a low-power mode to an active mode in 3.5 μs (typical).
MSP430F534x MCU is configured with 4 16-bit timers, 1 high-performance 12-bit ADC, 2 USCI, 1 hardware multiplier, DMA, 1 RTC module with alarm function, and 38 I/O pins.
Features
- Supply voltage range: 3.6V down to 1.8V
- Ultra-low power consumption
- Active Mode (AM): all system clocks active
- 290µA/MHz at 8MHz, 3V, Flash program execution (typical)
- 150µA/MHz at 8MHz, 3V, RAM program execution (typical)
