Introduction
The TI MSP series of ultra-low-power microcontrollers comes in a wide variety. Each member device is equipped with different peripheral sets to meet the needs of various applications. This architecture, when used in conjunction with five low-power modes, is the optimal choice for extending battery life in portable measurement applications. The device features a powerful 16-bit RISC CPU, using 16-bit registers and a constant generator to achieve maximum coding efficiency. This digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) can wake up from a low-power mode to an active mode within 3 µs (typical).
The configuration of MSP430F665x and MSP430F565x series microcontrollers includes four 16-bit timers, one high-performance 12-bit ADC, three USCI, one hardware multiplier, DMA, one RTC module with an alarm function, one comparator, USB 2.0, and up to 74 I/O pins.
The configuration of MSP430F645x and MSP430F535x series microcontrollers features one integrated 3.3V LDO, four 16-bit timers, one high-performance 12-bit ADC, three USCI, one hardware multiplier, DMA, one RTC module with an alarm function, one comparator, and up to 74 I/O pins.
