MACOM MASW-001100-11900G

MASW-001100-1190 (single-pole single-throw) is a series-shunt broadband PIN diode chip switch fabricated using MACOM's HMIC (Heterolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) process. This process allows silicon pedestals forming series-shunt diodes and vias to be embedded in low-loss, low-dispersion glass. By employing close spacing between circuit elements, the resulting HMIC chip achieves low insertion loss and high isolation at frequencies up to 26.5 GHz. They are designed for use as medium-power, high-performance switches, offering superior performance compared to similar designs using discrete components. The top surface of the chip is protected by a polymer coating for ease of manual or automated handling, and large gold bond pads facilitate low-inductance ribbon attachment. Gold metallization on the back of the chip allows attachment via 80/20 gold/tin solder or conductive silver epoxy.
