GR LM2596S-12

The LM2596-xx series is a DC/DC step-down switching converter controlled by a fixed-frequency 170kHz PWM. It mainly consists of internal frequency compensation, a fixed-frequency oscillator, built-in overcurrent protection, and power switch control circuits. It can drive a 3A load with high efficiency, low ripple, and excellent line and load regulation. Only a few external components are required to achieve DC/DC step-down voltage regulation, making it very simple and practical. The PWM control circuit can linearly adjust the duty cycle from 0 to 100%. It features an external enable control function. When overcurrent occurs, the built-in secondary overcurrent protection module activates, reducing the PWM frequency from 170kHz to 50kHz.
